When Sun TV uploaded a video of their Dec. 9 daily news on YouTube, netizens began pouring hateful comments on the page, accusing the Indian network of fabricating their story on the Little India riot that recently broke out in Singapore.

An Indian worker was pushed off from a bus and was killed in Singapore. Following which, the workers retaliated and it grew into a riot. Little India is an area where alot of foreign Indians are residing. It is a common place for their gatherings. A foreign worker from India tried to board a private bus yesterday. A female driver of the bus pushed him off the bus and he was killed on the spot due to the accident. So the fellow indian workers there got angry and attacked the bus and set the bus on fire. Following this, local Singaporeans and Chinese people came and attacked the foreign Indian workers. Two police vehicles were burned down in this incident. The government has commented that such violence has not taken place in Singapore for the past 50 years. And serious actions will be taken against those who were involved in the riot. 27 people have been arrested on the spot. Since the punishment for involving in violence and riots in Singapore is seven years of imprisonment and canning, the Indians there are tensed. Fearing the arrests by the police and attacks by the Chinese, they are staying indoors.
