Angry netizens alert police to ‘Heather Chua’ troll, man now under arrest

Barely a year after all the fuss made about a certain Heather Chua’s post on Facebook insulting National Servicemen, she has struck again, this time pronouncing that she found her friend’s marriage to an ITE graduate extremely disappointing, and that her friend had brought shame to Raffles Girl School by going out with a man that could not support her financially.

Of course, everyone’s really mad about that, but it didn’t end there.

She later accused Malays of not being able to eat pork because they weren’t wise as pigs (see top photo)

Comments about her ignorance continue to pour in days after she posted the status, but again, that’s not all.

Netizens — namely satire Facebook page SMRT Ltd (Feedback) — frustrated that no one knew who this Heather Chua was, decided to put their investigation skills to work. Before long, they’d discovered that ‘Heather Chua’ was in fact, a male. In this Facebook post, the group revealed more facts about the supposed troll, including how he’d used photos of Thai actress/model Pimpatchara Vajrasevee on the fake Facebook account and how he worked at a high-end car dealership linked to Kiwi Auto Pte Ltd.

The New Paper had also attempted to investigate the Heather Chua account, but were not as explicit with their discoveries.

It is believed that all this work, as well as several reports the police had received from the public, has led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man.

According to Channel NewsAsia, they’d also conducted extensive investigations and via a statement, advised the public against spreading racially or religiously offensive material as this may seen as inciting enmity.

Anyone caught do so may be jailed up to three years and fined.

In other news, SMRT Ltd (Feedback) can’t stop and won’t stop. They’ve put up a fake Facebook profile for the Singapore Advocacy Awards and nominated themselves Most Outstanding Civil Activist of All Time.
