Award-winning mumpreneur launching first-ever ‘community book’ about gifted education

Award-winning serial entrepreneur and founder of the All Gifted High School Pamela Lim, is getting ready to launch ‘community book’ The Gift of Education in March this year.

It is understood that the book is a compilation of findings, feedback and stories from her blog about accelerated learning, which consist in some way, of submissions from her readers.

Pamela Lim, former CEO of 3rd Frontier Solutions and iQB Pte Ltd, left the corporate world in 2004 to lecture at the Singapore Management University and focus on her five children, some of whom had been diagnosed with disabilities that prevented them from sharing a classroom with other kids.

In July last year, she and a partner from the United States (US) started an online school for high-IQ kids that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

It admits students aged 15 and above to its three-year diploma course, though some start at age 10 and are accepted to top universities by the time they hit 12.

The school is known to use unconventional methods to accelerate the learning process for gifted students, many of whom face problems like boredom in the standard public education system. The pace is tailored to each individual’s ability to maintain the child’s learning desire.
