Singapore welcomes one-of-a-kind Pita Bakery on Bali Lane

We’re excited about the newest kid on the Kampong Glam block, Pita Bakery, which — you guessed it right — sells the Mediterranean staple fresh from the oven.

The first of its kind in Singapore, Pita Bakery is located on 29 Bali Lane, next to the relatively new Stateland Cafe.

The bread comes in a package of 10 for $10.

To celebrate the opening, the bakery is giving away two pieces of pita free for every package bought.

When asked how the bakery came into being, one of the four partners Oscar Golani, said, “My friends and I were eating at a Middle Eastern restaurant where they served frozen, instant pita bread to accompany our dishes. It was nowhere near the taste of a freshly-baked one, so we decided to set up a place that offered just that.”

The owners have applied for halal certification, pending approval from the authorities.

Pita Bakery is open from 9am — 6pm everyday except Sundays.
