Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has criticised Singapore for its support of Malaysia’s efforts in the search for Malaysian Airlines MH370.

In a report by the New Straits Times, it was said that the opposition leader had accused Singapore of wrongfully inferring the opposition as being irresponsible.

He had also described the country as “sometimes inconsistent in its belief” and said though Singapore promoted meritocracy, it often settled for mediocrity in terms of what was going on in its neighbouring countries, including Malaysia.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was also reported to have said in the opposition’s defence, “we are not totally against the initiative taken by the Malaysian government, but we question the lack of transparency”.
