What is Singapore’s national bird? Someone gives an unexpected, but very logical answer

Local journalist and playwright (The DutyFull Tank!Radio Silence) uploaded a picture of Singapore’s ‘national bird’ in a public Facebook post two day ago:

Though the Crimson Sunbird is the actual national bird of Singapore — it was voted so in a contest held by the Nature Society due to its size and reputation as ‘the little red dot’ — this actually makes more sense, considering construction work has more or less become a permanent fixture in our cityscape.

Do you agree with him?
