Lat, creator of ‘The Kampung Boy’, will be in Singapore next week

Iconic cartoonist Datuk Mohd. Nor bin Khalid, better known as Lat, will be in Singapore next week as part of a programme celebrating Malaysian literature.

Lat, whose best-known work The Kampung Boy has been translated and published worldwide and was recently turned into a TV series, will be talking about his love for drawing and his journey as a cartoonist in Malaysia.

Lat was bestowed the honourific title of Datuk by the Sultan of Perak in 1994.
