The ever-so-popular annual festival is back to light up the night at the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct on Aug. 22 – 23, 29 – 30.
Since 2007, hundreds have come to the National Art Museum during the Singapore Night Festival to delight in the light installations cast upon its magnificent white building each year.
In this edition, the artwork is called Divine Trees and is presented by French artist-photographer Clement Briend. The installation will see the National Museum of Singapore illuminated with images of Asian deities, as if a realistic impression of divine creatures against the night sky.
The festival spanning over two weekends will also feature dance and musical performances: Follies for E Birds by The Arts Fission Company and Earth Harp by William Close.
Want some spontaneous fun? The Armenian Street community — Peranakan Museum, Substation, Timbre — is putting together Block Party, a series of cool acts like a roving brass band and get this — a wrestling match.
After a long walk through Bras Basah-Bugis, Festival Village at Cathay Green will provide a chill-out area for your tired legs as you indulge in a wide selection of beers and ciders, and sway to music from local bands.
