Singapore fourth most liveable city in Asia

Singapore has been placed fourth in a ranking of Asia’s most liveable cities by The Economist, after Osaka, Tokyo and Hong Kong respectively.

The cities are evaluated based on five factors, stability, healthcare, culture, education and infrastructure.

The list helps international firms to get the measure of how much to pay employees to live and work in a city.

Singapore, despite being more advanced in terms of stability and healthcare than Hong Kong, loses out to the latter in the areas of education, culture, environment and censorship.

Singapore ranks 52nd among the 140 cities worldwide.
