Laneway Festival Singapore to return in January next year

Singapore’s biggest indie music extravaganza Laneway Festival is making its comeback to The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on Jan. 24, 2015.

The Australian festival made its humble Singapore debut at Fort Canning Park back in 2011 and has since expanded to become one of the most highly anticipated annual music events at Gardens by the Bay, featuring hot indie acts like Foals, James Blake, Kimbra and M83.

The 2015 edition will mark Laneway’s fifth anniversary in Singapore and punters are already predicting who’ll make it to the lineup, which last year featured local heavyweights — The Observatory, Gema and Vandetta — for the first time.

No word on when that lineup’s coming out yet, but the full Australian lineup will be announced on Oct. 2 — can’t be too far off from that.
