Cambodian-born avant-garde sound and visual artist is set to perform in Artistry gallery/cafe this October in a full-on electronic music gathering featuring a curated roll of bedroom producers from around the region.
Headlining the event will be the Berlin-based Lafidki — also know as Saphy Vong — who has been described as possessing a unique sense for abstract electronics, blending noise and sequenced multi-layered rhythms into captivating soundscapes. Having played stages all round the world including London, Helsinki, Hong Kong, and more, his upcoming expedition will see him taking his spacey lo-fi tunes across Europe before dropping by Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia.
Other electronic music wizards layering the event include Filipino artistes Boykulisap and No Rome, who promise to make a spectacular debut of their experimental beats at Artistry in October. The recently formed FullBlackOrder will also make a live appearance at the show with an experiment in noise feedback and elements from various genres.
