Hong Kong star Cecilia Cheung, who recently moved with her two children to Singapore after a divorce, is reported to have a new man, and he’s not what you’d expect.
The 34-year-old beauty known for her relationships with baby-faced, superstar types like ex-husband Nicholas Tse and Edison Chen, is apparently now dating a local restaurateur known as ‘Martin’, if this account by ihktv is anything to go by.
According to the report, Martin had picked up his girlfriend at the Singapore Changi Airport on Oct. 11 after her flight from Hong Kong. Later that day, the couple drove Cheung’s sons Lucas and Quintus to a Thai restaurant for lunch, during which seven-year-old Lucas, who was said to be missing his real father, turned his back on Martin and spent most of the time playing iPad games.
Later that night, Martin and Cheung left home without the kids and had dinner at Martin’s restaurant Tong Ah (top photo). The two were reported to have been wearing matching wristwatches.
UPDATE: Lianhe Wanbao has identified ‘Martin’ to be Earn Chen, the founder of menswear company Surrender and the current creative director of hip dining venue Potato Head Folk, which is probably the “Tong Ah” ihktv is referring to. Chen, friends with stars like BIGBANG and MC Verbal of m-flo, is — as these pap photos suggest — a ‘hipster dresser’, and altogether a man-about-town.
