In two separate cases of molestation, police nabbed a 25-year-old and a 28-year-old male at Mowbray Road and Shipyard Road respectively.
On Sept. 17, a 13-year-old female made a police report relating that she’s molested in a lift at Woodlands. Police officers managed to establish the identity and whereabouts of the 25-year-old culprit after conducting thorough investigations.
In another case on Oct. 26, police was informed about a 21-year-old female victim being sexually assaulted by penetration in the area of Marsilling Drive. Officers from Jurong Police Division, who conducted intensive investigations, managed to identify the suspect with the help of police cameras and CCTVs.
Both suspects were arrested on Oct. 27.
For the offence of Outrage of Modesty, the suspects may face up to 5 years in jail, or fine, and caning.
For offence of Sexual Assault by Penetration, the suspects may be liable to a jail term extending up to 20 years, and fine, or caning.
