Shady ex-tour guide Yang Yin charged in court with falsification of papers

Things are not boding well for the former China tour guide Yang Yin, who had his name smeared all over the papers in the past few months for the high-profile legal tussle over an elderly widow’s $40 million fortune.

40-year-old Yang has just been dealt with 11 charges at the State Courts earlier today for falsifying documents between 2009 and 20014 as a director of Young Music & Dance Studio, according to various media reports.

The company was set up in 2009, and Yang obtained an Employment Pass to work in Singapore. During that period of time, he crafted receipts reflecting payments for various services, ranging from $1,000 to $5,500 in payments. No such payments were actually made.

If found guilty, he will face imprisonment for up to 10 years and a fine.

The legal showdown over the multi-million-dollar assets between him and the widow’s niece Hedy Mok is still ongoing.
