Over $3k USD raised for scammed Vietnamese tourist in crowdfunding campaign

On the lighter side of the spectrum in the Mobile Air saga, a Gabriel Kang has set up a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds for the Vietnamese tourist who recently got scammed by the assholes running the store at Sim Lim Square.

Pham Van Thoai and his girlfriend ended their holiday in Singapore in total devastation when his hard-earned money was simply swindled away by Mobile Air, leaving the shop in tears, $550 poorer and no iPhone 6 for his troubles.

Things are looking up for him. Kang’s campaign on Indiegogo is raising money to buy an iPhone 6 for the Vietnamese tourist plus a goodie bag of Singaporean hospitality including Bak Kwa, Kaya jam and spice packs to ease his trauma.

Since the launch of the campaign yesterday, a total of USD $3,136 have been raised as of writing, far exceeding the original goal of $1,350. The overwhelming success really is heartwarming, and proof that we’re not all heartless like the cretins at Mobile Air.

May Jover Chew and co. continue to rot in their filth.
