Video: Police seize documents, equipment, products from Mobile Air in two-hour raid

Police raided the space of shady Sim Lim Square retailer Mobile Air on Sunday (Nov. 16).

According to the Shin Min Daily News, eight plainclothes officers spent more than two hours at the shop now taken over by one Ricky Lee, leaving with four large boxes of documents and products, as well as three computer monitors.

Lee said he’d bought the shop from Jover Chew and was planning to reopen under a new name, HQ Mobile, after sorting out the legal proceedings with his lawyer.

Mobile Air has for the past month been under fire for employing unfair business practices, dragged under the spotlight following an incident with a Vietnamese tourist, who after being tricked into paying an exorbitant amount of money for iPhone insurance, went down on his knees to beg for a refund.
