Families affected by missing flight QZ8501 have left airport holding room, some flying to Surabaya tonight

According to several local reports, a Changi Airport spokesperson has revealed there are no more families at the holding room set up in Terminal 2.

They have all either gone home or retired to a hotel.

Changi Airport also reveals that 16 next-of-kin have accepted an offer to be flown to Surabaya tonight.

AirAsia and transport ministry officials in Indonesia have prepared accommodation for them in a hotel near the Juanda International Airport.
