Singaporean passenger on flight QZ8501 is 2yo girl: Channel News Asia

The Singaporean passenger on board missing AirAsia flight QZ8501 is a two-year-old girl, according to a Channel News Asia report.

“She was travelling with her father, a British national. Her mother, who is Singaporean, had travelled back to Singapore earlier from Surabaya with the child’s older sibling,” CNA wrote. 

AirAsia has confirmed in a statement that air traffic control lost contact with flight QZ8501 from Surabaya to Singapore at 7:24am on Dec. 28. 

The flight took off from the Juanda international airport at 5:20am and was supposed to arrive in Singapore at 8:30am.
