After the thrilling, offbeat extravaganza that was Super 0 Openair two weeks ago, stand by for the return of another unorthodox cultural affair: The Henderson Project.
Set to take place at the Henderson Industrial Park, the mini-arts gala will feature film screenings, art exhibitions, live music showcases, spoken word performances and more over two consecutive Fridays in February.
The highlight of Feb 6th’s Project 1 is the acclaimed documentary Our Hobby is Depeche Mode, a poignant film made by Mode fans, for Mode fans. Hailed as “hilarious, brilliantly edited and politically fascinating” by Dazed & Confused Magazine, the documentary shines the spotlight on Depeche Mode fans around the world, capturing insights into fan culture and identity, and ultimately a film that can be appreciated by all, Mode fan or not. Other than the film, audiences will also be able to enjoy the tunes of DJ Aldrin & KFC on decks accompanied by live visuals by Non/Aligned.
Project 2 on Feb 13 — entitled The Revolution Will Not Be Televised — promises all things funky with poetry beats, a full brass section and hip hop performances. The highlight of the night comes in the form of London’s very own ska/jazz/soul/hip-hop seven-piece Lazy Habits in an exclusive Singapore debut, along with supporting local acts Benjamin Kheng, Michaela Therese and more.
