OneService mobile app launched as one-stop municipal feedback hub

Singaporeans can now take their love for complaining and watchdog-ing to another level — the Municipal Services Office (MSO) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) have just launched a mobile app called OneService to make it more convenient for the public to submit their feedback on whatever municipal issues they can find.

The raw power of making your complaints known to the authorities now lie in your smartphones as the OneService app will enable the public to alert municipal agencies about issues pertaining their living environment, including matters such as cleanliness of public areas, road maintenance, clogged drains, pest infestation and more.

No longer will folks need to figure out which agency to lodge a complaint to — the app will route the feedback to the relevant bureau for them. Features such as geo-tagging and image uploading will also help the agencies better identify the nature and exact location of the problem.

Cases are simply labelled by topics such as ‘Trees & Greenery’ and ‘Roads & Footpaths’ for easier usage. Government agencies participating in the app include the Public Utilities Board, National Environmental Agency, Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Singapore Police Force and more.

Members of the public can download OneService from the Apple App Store and Google Play for free; more information available on the MSO website.
