The police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly molesting a woman in a lift in Yishun.
The 19-year-old female victim lodge a report with the police on March 2 just after midnight about experiencing an outrage of modesty by an unidentified man in a lift at Yishun Street 72.
Less than two hours later, he was arrested in the vicinity of Yishun Avenue 4. Investigations revealed that the suspect might have alighted from the same bus as the victim and followed her afterwards.
If found guilty, the man could face up to 10 years in jail and caning.
