Former Prime Minister and Singapore icon Lee Kuan Yew’s health has taken for the worse, according to an update from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Admitted to Singapore General Hospital on Feb 5 to be treated for severe pneumonia, his condition had stabilised in the subsequent weeks, though he remained on mechanical ventilation.

The latest statement from  the Prime Minister’s office, however, announced that the 91-year-old’s condition has worsened due to an infection, and has been administered antibiotics.
