It’s not like he wasn’t expecting it.

On a video he posted to YouTube last week, the former child actor (Jack Neo’s We Not Naughty) Amos Yee went on a tirade against the late Lee Kuan Yew and challenged his son, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, to sue him.

Well, it’s just like  what they say in the movies — be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

The 17-year-old was arrested on Sunday, according to The Straits Times. “At least 20 police reports have been lodged against Amos Yee since Mar 27, when he was believed to have uploaded the eight-minute video,” it reports.

The video Yee posted is now on private mode and his blog is no longer accessible.

On the same video, Yee also made what has been described as “insensitive remarks about Christianity”.

It is not clear if Yee will face a lawsuit.
