14th edition of Baybeats Music Festival returns this June with 35 local and regional bands

The city-state’s highly anticipated local music festival Baybeats returns once again this June for yet another three nights of alternative music, showcasing rising Singapore talents as well as prominent acts that have made their mark here and across the seas.

Kicking off from June 26 onwards, Esplanade is set to transform into a vibrant site of live music by the Marina Bay, where folks can catch 35 local and regional bands across a gamut of genres including folk, electronica, punk, hardcore, indie rock, alternative and a lot more.

The 14th edition of Baybeats will see the likes of garage rock trio Knightingale, alternative rock outfit Cadence and folk singer Theodora Lau taking to the stage with five other finalists of the Baybeats Budding Programme.

Other local veterans will also be joining in the festivities with acts such as ANECHOIS, Pleasantry, The Fire Fight, Caracal, The Caulfield Cult and many more in the star-studded lineup.

Representing the regional talents are Indonesian blues duo Matajiwa, Thai synthpop outfit FWENDS, Japanese indie rock band Oversleep Excuse and four other acts from Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines and Malaysia.

The three-day festival hits Esplanade on June 26 — more details on the Baybeats Festival Facebook page.
