Scoot reveals SG50 livery for new Dreamliner — but people fucking hate it

Not wanting to be outdone by Singapore Airlines’ giant display of patriotism, affiliates Scoot have also unveiled their very own contribution to the SG50 celebrations with their new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The new addition to their roster — named Maju-lah — sports a new livery complete with red balloons, the SG50 insignia, cartoons of the Merlion and the cabin crew wishing Singapore a happy 50th birthday.

Companies joining in Scoot’s SG50 commemoration include the likes of BreadTalk, PropNex, Metro, CapitaLand, Zalora, Raffles Education Group and Gleneagles Singapore, all of which had their logos plastered on the aforementioned red balloons.

Too bad people fucking hate it though.

Maybe it was because of their recent brushes with controversy or maybe the design really sucks that hard; but it seems that the new livery isn’t a very welcome sight to many. The comments have been most brutal:

Er, maybe time for a design overhaul? We’ve reached out to Scoot for their comments.
