Confirmed: Singapore edition of Michelin Guide by mid-2016

Big news food lovers — a Singapore edition of Michelin Guide is confirmed and will be available in mid-2016.

The guide, which gives out star ratings to restaurants, will be in collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board and Robert Parker Wine Advocate, reports The Straits Times.

The Michelin Guide is one of the world’s most trusted and influential food guides, largely because of its rigid standards, impartiality and anonymous reviewers.

For the first Singapore edition, inspectors from Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Britain and Spain will be tapped, according to Michael Ellis, International Director of the Michelin Guides.

It will be in English and Chinese and should cover not just high-end restaurants but also street food.
