In a rather generous move by the New York Public Library, they’ve recently digitised and unleashed 180,000 hi-res images from their collection onto the internet — and they’re all amazing.
Aside from fascinating historical maps and other oddities from around the world, there’s also a bountiful collection of scans depicting Singapore’s past (we’re talking early 20th century here), both in photos and in illustrations. Have a gander at some of the great ones we’ve found below:
