Yet another dead cat turns up in Yishun — total suspected abuse cases now stands at 20

Yeap, there’s definitely more than one cat abuser lurking around in Yishun — yet another bloodied-up cat was found dead in the neighbourhood, and the authorities still haven’t caught up to the killer(s).

The dead cat was found in a drain at Block 361 along Yishun Ring Road this morning, according to a post on the Yishun 326 Tabby Cat Facebook page. A report by The New Paper revealed that this Ragdoll-Burmese crossbreed was no stray — this was a family’s pet cat that just had just given birth to five kittens.

This would bring the total tally of suspected cat abuse cases in Yishun up to 20 so far, and it will continue to rise so long as the killer(s) remain out there. This case is also the second one following the arrest of 40-year-old Lee Wai Leong, who was arrested and charged in court for tossing a cat off the 13th floor of a HDB block in Yishun.

We’re no crime experts, but it seems like the killer(s) is/are becoming a lot bolder in their crimes — they’re still carrying out stray cat killings despite all the attention on Yishun and the heightened security deployed there. It’s been five months since the series of horrible cat abuse started in the area, and the arrest of Lee has evidently failed to stopped any further attacks.
