Another dead cat turns up in Yishun — making 2 alleged cat murders reported in a week

When will this ever end? Just days after the last case of alleged cat killing took place in Yishun, another dead cat turns up in the neighbourhood. 

The total tally now stands at 21 suspected cat abuse cases, with this one occurring near Block 732 along Yishun Avenue 5.

Since September last year, the district has been a hotbed of cats — both strays and pets — being abused. It came to the point where Nee Soon GRC’s Member of Parliament Louis Ng mobilised a grassroots fast response team to start patrolling the streets. It seems that they haven’t been that effective — the bodycount keeps increasing, even after the capture of Lee Wai Leong, who was charged with tossing a cat off the 13th storey.
