Video: Bemused tourists eat half-boiled eggs for the first time

The thought of our kopitiam standard — soft boiled eggs — putting people off their appetite sounds odd, but in the eyes of non-Singaporeans, it’s a bizarre breakfast. Though every self-respecting Singaporean should stand by our eggcellent (sorry) morning classic, those not familiar with it only see it as what it is: a raw, goopy mess. 

Travel site Alternative, however, sought out a couple of adventurous tourists to try out half-boiled eggs for the first time ever. Watch as their initial revulsion turn into amusing delight — after all, nothing can go wrong when you fuse eggs, soy sauce and pepper.
