The stars of The Huntsman: Winter’s War made quite a spectacular splash yesterday night when they graced the red carpet at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) for the Asian premiere of their film.
Huntsman stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Jessica Chastain gave the USS the glitz and glamour it needed to promote the sequel to the grimdark retelling of Snow White. Out of all the Hollywood veterans however, it seems like Chastain was the one who had the most fun checking out the sights around our little red dot, judging from her Instagram posts.
From sari shopping in Little India to visiting the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, the multiple award-winning actress behind Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, The Most Violent Year and more made the most of her time in the Singapore leg of her promo tour.
The most surprising fact of all? She really, really loves durians. It’s her favourite fruit in fact.
How ever did this Californian lady have her palates adapted to enjoy durians? Speaking to Channel NewsAsia, she says that she spent four months in Thailand about a decade ago and there she fell in love with the King of Fruits. “It’s like the blue cheese of fruit right? It has kind of a stinky taste, but once you take the first bite, the second bite’s amazing.”
