Singapore’s most attractive employer award of 2016 goes to Changi Airport

Changi Airport Group (CAG) is lookin’ pretty good right now. According to recruitment firm Randstad’s annual list of top 75 companies in Singapore to work for, CAG takes the number one spot for the first time ever, up from third place in 2014 and runner-up in 2015. Procter & Gamble (P&G) dropped one notch to second place, and ExxonMobil came in third.

CAG clinched first place in categories such as financial health, good training, long-term job security, strong management, pleasant working atmosphere and environmental and social awareness. P&G was first for career progression opportunities and good work-life balance, and ExxonMobil won the top spot in most attractive for salary and employee benefits, as reported by Channel NewsAsia.

The award, which is in its fifth year in Singapore, is also presented in over 20 countries, focusing on three main areas: overall brand awareness, absolute attractiveness and relative attractiveness. More than 200,000 people worldwide across different genders, age groups and educational levels took part in the poll.

In Singapore, 5,000 employees and job hunters between the ages of 18 to 65 were surveyed and asked to identify companies they recognised and evaluate attractiveness factors like salary, benefits, work atmosphere and job content.
