PrimaDeli dismisses the racist employee involved in viral post; apologises to community

Though Sarah Carmariah held back from naming and shaming a popular Halal bakery for spouting racist nonsense at her during a job interview, Prima Deli came clean in public, announcing that it was their staff member who was involved in the viral post.

Less than 24 hours ago, young baker Sarah Carmariah published a Facebook post recounting about a horrible experience faced when she tried to apply for a job as cake decorator. TL;DR: she noped the fuck out of the interview process after a head of department outwardly displayed racial prejudice towards her — one of which was telling her that she won’t be able to make it in the job because she was Malay.

Since the Facebook post went viral, PrimaDeli came out on their Facebook page to say that they’ve taken heed of the exceedingly adverse attention brought to their company. They’ve since contacted Sarah to apologise, stating that the company believes in “fair and equal rights for all”.

Hours later in another Facebook post, they’ve assured that they’ve immediately dismissed the employee in subject, assuring a zero tolerance policy for such behaviour. Good on PrimaDeli.

Sarah has yet to respond to the news, but it should provide some comfort that justice has been served.
