Amidst the ongoing court hearings about what happened with Benjamin Lim, a similar sort of tragedy unfolded in Sengkang yesterday morning.
An 11-year-old student was found dead in his school uniform at the foot of Block 470 along Fernvale Link around 6.50am, believed to have fallen from the 17th storey, Lianhe Zaobao reports.
A resident speaking to the daily claimed that the family had been quarrelling before the incident. The boy was said to have fallen after his father went downstairs to get his car. Other residents in the area also noted that they saw the father kneeling by the boy’s body, apologising profusely.
Police are investigating the case, which has been classified as an unnatural death.
