It’s official — the EwF (Everything with Fries) space at PARCO Bugis Junction has finally evolved into South-East Asia’s first pop-up Pokémon Café. (Cue frenzied shrieks by fans across the country).
Expect kawaii everything, with Pikachu as the star, and everything on the menu inspired by Pokémon characters and stories. There’ll also be a 3D photo booth, original merch like tees, tote bags, stickers, key holders, memo pads and files on display, and a cuddly Pikachu mascot walking around for selfie opportunities.
And since this is Singapore, you know there’s gonna be a long line of excited Pokémon Master wannabes waiting for a slice of the action. On the day of the café’s debut, people already turned up at the unearthly hour of 6am get in the queue. So please, for the love of Pikachu, chill out and bide your time, ’cause the pop-up will be here for two whole months. You’ll have plenty of time to wax nostalgic. Just, y’know, maybe don’t expect too much from the food (it’s more about the character of the place).
