Despite the drop in HDB resale prices, two flats have been sold for record-breaking prices in the last two months, reported AsiaOne.

Earlier this month, a 4-room flat in Clementi was sold for $900,000, while a 5-room flat in Redhill changed hands for $950,000 in May.

Measuring 1,033.34 sq ft, the 4-room flat is situated between the 22nd and 24th levels of Block 441B Clementi Avenue 3, revealed HDB data.

It is located near Clementi Mall, Clementi Bus Interchange and Clementi MRT station.

The first flat within the area to breach the $900,000 mark was another unit located at neighbouring Block 441A, which was resold last December.

Meanwhile, the 1,496.18 sq ft 5-room flat is located at 81 Redhill Lane, beside Redhill Market and Food Centre, and near Tiong Bahru Plaza and Redhill MRT station.

The Edge noted that the price for the 20-year-old unit matches the most expensive transaction for a 5-room flat in the area, which was set in October 2015 by a unit along Kim Tian Road.

So far this year, only one other unit within the Bukit Merah area, also a 5-room flat at Jalan Membina, breached the $900,000 mark.

A total of nine 5-room flats within the area were sold for $900,000 or more last year.
