Watch: A moving spoken word performance on our perception of migrants

It’s time for a poignant piece of art this Thursday morning. Driven by her own experiences abroad (including Hollywood nonetheless as part of Netflix’s Marco Polo), actress Oon Shu An conceptualised a stunning multimedia piece, delivering a moving speech about our perception of home and the people — both native or foreign — who reside in it. 

“Whether deep in the forgotten history of our blood, or as part of another country’s flood of the unwelcome, we’re all the same,” Oon posits. “Making our way, getting by, making a home”. 

“So what decides who should stay or who should go?”
