WATCH: Man confronts persistent summons officer who keeps fining deliverymen at Holland Village

With its narrow roads, Holland Village is not a conducive spot for heavy vehicles to pass through. But alas, there’s no choice in the matter for deliverymen given the amount of eateries, watering holes and other shops catering to expats and yuppies.

Compounding the matter for those involved in the logistics industry, suppliers in the area are only afforded a single loading bay at Lorong Mambong. Deliverymen are forced to park at other spots to do their jobs (they run a tight schedule, mind you), and things are aggravated by a relentless summons officer. Muhd Fazuwan is all too familiar with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) officer — and presumably fed up with the pile of fines he received — so he confronted her recently.

Funnily enough, her name really is Fatimah, the affectionate moniker we’ve given to blue-vested parking attendants and traffic wardens.

In his video, Fazuwan makes his argument to the LTA officer about how difficult it is to be a deliveryman at Lorong Mambong, capturing footage of the many logistics personnel dispatched to the area. But Fatimah wasn’t having any of it, telling Fazuwan that they’re supposed to park at the loading bay. Fazuwan points out there’s only one loading bay (placed on a slope, no less) to share between the numerous companies.

Claiming to be just doing her job, she suggests that he take it up with LTA. The thing is, they already have, and yet they get hit with summons every single day. Watch the whole confrontation for yourself below:

To the credit of both the parking enforcement officer and Fazuwan, they remain civil throughout the altercation, each of them simply talking it out instead of devolving into a shouting match.
