Charles & Keith handbags sold out after Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams reps them on red carpet

Leave it to Arya Stark to go against the grain. In a star-studded event with all the world’s most talented and celebrated thespians wearing expensive garments, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams repped the Little Red Dot slinging Charles & Keith handbags that cost less than $100 each.

The 19-year-old turned heads on the red carpet with her darling accessories from the Singapore-based fast fashion brand. Carrying a triangle-shaped evening bag with a chain strap and gold tassel, the actress was photographed with the vintage-inspired pouch called Evening Wristlet that only cost $39.90. She was also seen with the bronze version of the bag at a tea party for the nominees of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

Those weren’t the only Charles & Keith items Williams was seen with — a white Prism Minaudiere clutch was carried to the HBO Emmy after-party. That one was a little bit pricier (but still within the means of us normal folk), retailing at $89.90.

As expected, all three versions of the handbag are sold out on Charles & Keith’s online store.

“We are flattered and thankful to be considered in the dressing room of an amazing star,” said a spokesperson from the brand in response to queries by Channel NewsAsia. “”We are thankful for the positive media response and for our work to be recognised”.

They added that they were aware the actress’ stylist had picked up a few of their products in preparation for her upcoming events.

UK news outlet The Telegraph has since hailed the local brand to be the “new high street label to know”, even listing their other affordably chic handbags to look out for. Wait till fashionistas around the world arrive here to find that Charles & Keith stores can be found everywhere, including the far-flung reaches of Causeway Point in Woodlands.

While Arya’s favoured handbags are out of stock online, we’re pretty sure they can still be found in retail stores islandwide. Brace yourselves though, the flippers are coming.
