WATCH: SPCA’s heart-stopping rescue of a kitten stuck on a 12th storey HDB ledge

This silly kitten somehow got itself stuck with nowhere to go as it remained perched on a ledge from great heights. One wrong move and it would have been a 12-storey drop for the poor kitty.

Fortunately, an eagle-eyed individual from the opposing block at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 spotted the wee tabby and alerted SPCA Singapore. Help came pretty quickly with two policemen holding out a blanket at the ground floor while SPCA officer Yao Huang went to the kitchen window and grabbed the frightened cat in a heart-stopping rescue operation.

Phew. After reuniting the cat with its owner, Huang advised the resident to mesh up the windows and gate to prevent curious felines from slipping or falling out.

Coincidentally, it’s World Animal Day today! “World Animal Day reminds us that we can make a difference with small acts of kindness such as reporting cases of animals in distress or creating a safe home for our pets,” wrote the SPCA.
