Netizens are presumably on the hunt for the driver as charity organisation Animal Lovers League (ALL) put the call out this morning, alerting the Internet about the monstrous individual. Along Pasir Ris Farmway 3 this morning, the driver of a black Honda hatchback was said to have ran over one of the dogs that belonged to ALL. Her response to witnesses who told her to help them with the injured pup?
“Fuck you. It’s only a dog”.
We imagine even Beelzebub himself would have gasped at that frostbitten response.
The dog named Sayang has since been taken to the vet to get treatment, according to ALL. “We will not allow anyone to think he/she can get away with hit and run just because it happened to an animal,” it updated on its Facebook page, assuring all that it’ll be reporting the case to the authorities. But before this launches a ruthless Internet witch-hunt for the driver, just remember that it’d be best to let the authorities do their job (it really isn’t hard to search for the lady — her damn license plate is displayed) and wait until the facts emerge. This commenter has the right sentiment:
If the claims are true, she should know that motorists who refuse to stop and exit the vehicle to help an animal hit by them will be liable for a $3,000 fine or a jail term of up to a year.
