Kiss92 FM DJs accused of making racist remarks about Malays and Indians in morning show

Every morning, from 6am till 10am, local radio station Kiss92’s Maddy, Jason & Arnold in the Morning comes on — a programme that promises the “latest news and informative lifestyle snippets” from a “down to earth, intelligent and energetic trio”.

Nothing “down to earth” or “intelligent” about this alleged gaffe that transpired this morning, though. Facebook user Atiq Lukman recounted the disgust he felt while listening to a conversation the DJs apparently had in reaction to a recent study about Singaporean sleep habits.

If it is indeed true — ugh, yet more casual racism flung around on a public platform. Kiss 92FM neither confirmed if that actually happened nor did they issue any apology. It did nothing to quell the ensuing outrage.

We’ve contacted Kiss92 for their response.
