Raincoat weather expected for Chinese New Year weekend; temperatures could go as low as 22°C

It was real fun while it lasted, but the London-esque weather we’ve enjoyed early this week has since been replaced by the usual Singapore heat in the past few days.

We do miss being out and about in the crisp 24°C climate; the super-snug sleeps we had; the majestically gloomy horizon over the city. Not too keen on the floods, though.

Lucky for us all who love the frosty atmosphere, the National Environment Agency (NEA) expects a monsoon surge to affect the South China Sea and the surrounding region over the next couple of days.

What this means is that you should expect more wet weather this afternoon and even wetter weather tomorrow. According to NEA, cloudy and occasionally windy conditions with heavy periods of showers is forecasted for on the first day of the Lunar New Year.

On Sunday, the surge is expected to weaken — though it’ll still bring winds and showers on the second day of the Lunar New Year. Temperatures during the weekend could range between 22°C (yay!) and 32°C (fuck that shit).
