Finally: Gushcloud founders break it down for Xiaxue

Well, not just for Xiaxue, whose constant shit-stirring culminated in a scathing ‘exposé of the blogger network yesterday, but for everyone that’s been following the chain of events.

Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Althea Lim was the first to publicly speak up, via a Wordpress blog specifically set up for the cause.

Titled “Althea Lim issues personal statement to Xiaxue” breaking-news style, the post accuses Xiaxue of speaking as a stakeholder of Nuffnang, who is worried about or feels threatened by the competition. It also shoots down Xiaxue’s assumption that Gushcloud bought views and subscribers on YouTube, particularly for one of its ‘influencers’ Yan Kay Kay. Finally, Lim reprimands the blogger also known by her real name Wendy Cheng, for her “bullying antics” and calls her a liar, inviting Cheng to sue her for it.

“If you don’t sue me, then I guess that speaks for itself,” Lim wrote

A few hours later, her partner Vincent Ha, who’s Gushcloud’s chief executive, posted an official statement on yet another specifically set up Wordpress platform suitably named Faith in Gushcloud

Here, Ha addressed all (but one, which pokes fun at Gushcloud’s sponsored office renovation) of Cheng’s allegations, some of which he claimed as true, but misunderstood, and others fairly inaccurate. Read it here

No word on legal implications so far.
