Singapore date removed from Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour website

Just as Madonna fans here were getting excited for the nation’s de-virginizing of the pop music queen, hopes fell once again — Singapore has been removed from Maddie’s Southeast Asian Rebel Heart Tour.

Yesterday, we noted that Feb 28 was reserved on the official website as the date she’ll be performing for the first time ever in Singapore, live at the National Stadium.

Despite the distinct lack of official details or announcements about a show here, it was stated that online ticket sales would go live on Dec 22. Links to purchase an Icon Live Pass — membership to Madonna’s official fan club — was also available.

Alas, t’was too good to be true. Right now the Singapore date has been removed from the website, listing Madonna’s Manila show at the Mall of Asia Arena as the last sop in the Southeast Asian tour.

An email sent to fans who purchased the Icon Live Pass to the Singapore show also note that the information on the website was “inaccurate”.

So is Madonna going to come or not? Concert organisers IMC Live Group are unwilling to comment, says Channel NewsAsia, while police are still assessing  a public entertainment licence to stage the show. Sorry Madonna fans, things are still up in the air.
