Son of driver who ran over dog calls animal shelter to defend mother; implied witnesses were lying

Further details have emerged in the wake of public outcry over a lady who allegedly had a black void in place of where her heart should be when she ran over a dog named Sayang and told concerned passersby to fuck off

Lixin Tan volunteers at the Animal Lovers League — the animal shelter that took care of Sayang — and has since provided a more detailed account of what happened that Sunday along Pasir Ris Farmway 3.

A group of around 15 volunteers were on hand that morning to walk and bathe the dogs, but Sayang had somehow sneaked out of the compound without anyone’s knowledge. One of the volunteers who was out walking a dog saw Sayang run over by a black Honda hatchback — the dog was rolled over by the wheel and the car’s mud guard hit it several times.

The driver did stop after running over Sayang, but she exclaimed to that it wasn’t her fault.

“I’m not saying it’s your fault, but could you please come out and help us?” said a volunteer, trying to calm the driver down so that she wouldn’t drive off.

It was then that the lady said “It’s just a dog, fuck you” before driving off.

By then, Sayang had already bolted off to a construction site to hide, but was eventually brought back to the shelter. No internal injuries were found by the vet so far.

That wasn’t the end of the story though, according to Tan.

“The most despicable part of this whole incident is that the driver’s son has called ALL’s owner with an anonymous number to defend his mother. He self-righteously proclaimed that she had stepped out of her car to check on Yang. This is an absolute lie, insinuating that all the witnesses present were lying, as she clearly hadn’t; the entire situation was witnessed by the volunteers and a few cyclists present during the incident.”

“We are trying not to speculate if the driver had intentionally run over Yang despite how the incident played out, but it remains a fact that she had not stopped to render her assistance and that in itself is a crime.”
