Can’t get enough of jazz tunes at Sing Jazz Club and Blu Jaz Cafe? There’ll soon be another contender in the local live jazz music scene, and it’s a big one. The Montreux Jazz Café, set to open at Pan Pacific Orchard later this year, is the first in Asia, after launching in places like Zurich, Paris and Abu Dhabi.
Conceived by the minds behind the 50-year-old Montreux Jazz Festival, which last stopped by Singapore in 2005, the 500-seater space will feature everything from rock and soul to hip hop and pop by top notch local and regional acts. It’ll launch here in October, after the 2016 Montreux Jazz Festival takes place in Switzerland on July.
Oh, and look out for menu items named after iconic jazz legends, such as the B.B. burger, Coquelet façon Quincy Jones, and Ella’s cheesecake.
Check out these swanky pics for a glimpse of what to expect.
The Montreux Jazz Café opens on Oct 6 at Pan Pacific Orchard, 10 Claymore Rd.
