Families with little ones now have one more kid-friendly place to visit: Marine Cove at East Coast Park. The revamped area, which has been closed since 2012 to undergo redevelopment, features a myriad of dining options and a 3,500sqm children’s playground for young ones to run wild.
The huge play space will open to the public on June 29, while the five eateries will open one after another from June 28 onwards, according to NParks.
In the playground sits a three-storey play tower, which comes with three slides and a rope bridge, for kids between five and 12. As for those below five, there’s a play area outfitted with talking tubes, fun mirrors and a drum set. Special needs equipment like sensory play panels are also part of the facilities, to allow children of different abilities to play with one another.
The place also boasts increased access, with more parking lots and a new linkway that connects the restaurants with the underpass to Marine Terrace. Opening soon are names like McDonald’s, Babalicious, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, My Briyani House and Hill Street Coffee Shop.
